I've got designer bags, under my eyes

Saturday:
Jeannie's birthday dinner at Brotzeit at Cityhall, the sausages were really very ordinary. I mean honestly the bloody potatoes impressed me more than the sausages did.

She was opening bottles at Supperclub where all the rest (Diana etc) would be going but with 2 papers on Monday I really needed to study so I didn't go ):

Headed down to school instead (yes on a Saturday night), luckily I was driving! Took me ages though, because I passed through the Suntec area which was so jammed due to the opening of the new Marina Bay bridge. (Seriously, isn't a bridge just a bridge? Seen one seen 'em all? Or at least go when the hype has died down?)

Sunday:
Ching Ming, a.k.a ancestor worship. Going down to the columbarium, offering joss sticks etc?

Photobucket
Hahahahaha.

Quite a lot of family members came this year!

Photobucket
Haha what my mom called the "smoking area".

Photobucket
Time to offer wine to GongGong!

Photobucket
I was actually wearing a cardigan at first but it was so hot. IKR, I go every year but I never seem to learn haha.

So many lame jokes by my cousins when we were burning the paper money and paper clothes/cigarettes etc about there being Hellbook and emails from @hell.com...

Picnic chair all...

Wanted to capture something that never really came to fruition. Direction dustbin. There really was way too much Dashboard Confessionals on it anyway.

HAHAHAHAHA I literally laughed out loud (lol) at this. SO APT. NEXT TWILIGHT CRAP (3rd installment) COMING OUT IN JULY.

2 papers down today!
Had Principles of Communications at 9am and Leisure, Recreation & Tourism at 1pm.
Erika and Rebecca got a ride from me because I was going to take a cab down, which basically meant that instead of one person (me) running to the exam hall late, there were 3 of us. Reached 15 minutes after the paper had begun, but it was MCQ anyway and everyone finished at least 30minutes ahead of time.
Ugh peak hour traffic was so bad, plus cabfare cost me $22 - what the hell?!

Next paper's Government & Politics of Singapore on Wednesday, followed by Sociology on Thursday and finally Communications & New Media on Friday. Intense! But woohoo done with exams really quickly!

Alright my holiday ideas currently consist of knowingly making elaborate and ambitious plans that I know will not even remotely see the light of day once exams end and I enter a pathetic but mildly fulfilling cycle of rotting my days away. Till that happens, I hope to finally put up my wall decals, finish decorating my mirror, clear my desk so that I can actually sit at it, sell off my clothes and complete those half-read books.
But if the alternative is L4D2, all the above becomes secondary.
Bye!

I've been in NUS Monday-Friday the past two weeks to study for exams; funny how now I'm there more often than during the school term haha.

I generally leave my house in the afternoon, eat dinner in school (tried NUS Business' canteen the other day and it was a disappointment) and come back in the middle of the night, which effectively means I haven't seen my mom since Sunday- hi Mommy!

The library has this weird system where they close at 9.30pm and reopen just the study floor alone at 10pm. This means that at 9.15pm we're all sitting outside the study floor door already to get good seats! In our case we're always the first group there (+/- this other random girl who must camp there since 8pm or something) so we get first dibs on one of the discussion rooms all to ourselves:

Errol and Alaric, ultimate gayness. Every day they go like "Omg seriously dude, I love your shirt/jacket/shoes. Like seriously dude."
Cue eye-roll from Hazel and I- "Omg Hazel I love your dress! It really brings out your eyes."

Heehee at my sunnies from F21, haven't used them yet. Picnic!

Haha and from Errol's iPhone (he has like 4 pages of photo-related applications):

Photobucket
Hahahaha scary much! The ageing app's quite cool, like on my face there's a mask (overall aged face), forehead lines, ugly teeth, spectacles and ears (yes those are not my real ears/earrings).

Photobucket
And one normal photo of Alaric done with some Lomo iPhone app.

Sigh Jeannie's birthday on the 26th April, but I have two papers that day! Can't wait to end exams so that I can watch a movie; feels like it's been ages. School's been quite fun though, cause I finally have friends hahahahaha wth right but yeah university can be lonely cause it's so big and impersonal.

Got an A- for my Political Science essay, but a B for my Geography one... Oh well bye everyone!

Okay it's quite creepy/amusing that despite only having one photo with both Errol and Alaric and never mentioning either of their names at all... I got questions on my Formspring about them. Seriously Singapore is way too small.

Yawn so 3 more photos of Alaric from his Mac for the voyeurs, and I'll get more of Errol then haha. (But anyway he has a girlfriend.)

I showed my mom Mac's Photobooth the other day, I managed to capture of a few shots of her with the bulging eyes and squeeze and etc options but haha she made me delete them okay STEALTH now on!

Anyway for my 2000 word Geography essay we had to use 2 case studies of Third World Countries in Asia and their experience with tourism. I wiki-ed a list of Asian countries cause I didn't want to do the usual boring Indonesia/Philippines/Thailand etc.
SO GUESS WHO'S PART OF ASIA?
.
.
.
.
RUSSIA.
(I'm sorry if you're really smart/knowledgeable/dying to tell me "wtf everyone knows this you don't even need to be smart". But I didn't know and I found it unusual and my friends didn't know either!)

I mean yeah geographically it kinda makes sense, but I've always just assumed that Russia is only part of Europe! It is so weird cause they're like... ANGMOH you know?

Anyway we did extra checks by wiki-ing the countries in the EU (European Union) and then the ones in the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation). BINGO- Russia was in the APEC, but not in the EU. Which meant it really was Asian.

That seemed sooooo weird. I was just thinking like... Hahahaha Lenin/Stalin my bro!
(Being half French means that Lenin/Stalin is still my homie as a European country, but at that point I was just thinking from an Asian perspective.)

Photobucket
Haha look at that, and tell yourself he's Asian. Seems so weird!

Links if you want to check it out yourself:

I know everything's from Wikipedia and some might say it's not reliable etc but I'm really lazy to go google more credible sources, and I'm sure something as major as CONTINENTS and political cooperatives can't possibly be false without someone noticing and doing something about it within like, 3 minutes right.

I'm really grouchy cause the maid woke me up at 8.30am and since then she's been waking me up on off because she doesn't know a lot of stuff ugh so I've had less than 2 hours of continuous sleep?

By the way EVERYONE was at Zouk on Saturday zzz like seriously. Even Hazel. Haha I asked her if Zouk was going to be worth her (eventual) 0.2 (at least) drop in CAP.
CAP- Cumulative Aggregate Point or something. NUS doesn't follow the GPA system.

Going back to sleep tata!
